Planning to visit a dog show, training session, race or camping site with your dog?
If your four-legged companion needs to wait in the car, a UV-protective sun cover is an essential item for keeping the interior cooler and more comfortable.
Designed to reflect sunlight and reduce interior temperatures, this durable cover is perfect for summer months, road trips, or long-term outdoor parking.
This high-performance UV and heat-reflective cover is designed to protect your dog and vehicle from direct sunlight and overheating. Its aluminium-coated surface reflects up to 90% of sunlight, reducing the internal temperature of your car, transport crate, tent, or box. It’s lightweight, compact when folded, and essential for summer travel, competitions, or training days.
Main Benefits:
- Reflects heat and harmful UV rays
- Breathable surface allows air to circulate freely
- Helps reduce temperature rise inside the car
- Environmentally friendly and reusable material
- Easy to unfold, attach, and reposition. Secure with clips, straps, or magnets (not included)
- Multi-purpose use: Fits cars, vans, trailers, dog crates, tents, and transport boxes
How to Use:
For effective cooling, always leave side windows or the boot open when using the cover.
The fabric should fully cover all windows and doors of the car.
Covering the bonnet can also enhance the overall cooling effect.
For a firm hold in windy conditions, we suggest using magnetic hooks through the reinforced metal eyelets placed around the edge of the cover.
Size Guide:
S (2 x 2 m): Ideal for dog crates, cages, small tents, transport boxes, small cars
M (3 x 4 m): Suitable for most standard cars, station wagons, or medium-sized shelters
L (4 x 6 m): Fits larger vehicles, small caravans, large tents, vans, SUVs, pergolas
Product Specifications:
- Material: High-density HDPE mesh with aluminum coating
- Reflectivity: Blocks approximately 90% of sunlight
- Reinforced edges: Durable black polyester trim
- Attachment: Metal grommets spaced every 1 meter for secure installation
Important Note:
Although we have never encountered any cases of the sun cover scratching car paintwork during the many years we've been selling it, it is theoretically possible. This could happen under certain conditions - especially with careless handling and if dirt or sand is present on the car’s surface (e.g., on the hood).
If you want to be 100% sure your paint remains untouched, we recommend placing a blanket or old sheet between the hood and the sun cover. This will not affect the functionality of the cover in any way.
Make sure your dog always has fresh water and ventilation when waiting in the vehicle.
Never leave pets in a car for long periods, especially on hot days.
More Than Just a Car Cover:
Thanks to its multifunctional design, you can use the cover for camping, shade for tents, temporary shelters or garden protection.
Quick to install and pack away – an excellent tool for safe travel and outdoor activities with your dog.
Protect your dog from heat and sun – get your UV cover today and travel safely!
Important for Dog Owners:
Never leave your dog in a parked car without proper protection from the sun. Even with open windows, the temperature inside a car can rise dangerously high within minutes, leading to heatstroke or even death. A sun-reflective car cover helps reduce interior heat build-up, making it safer during short stops or when traveling. While this cover is not a substitute for supervision, it is an essential safety accessory for every dog owner who drives with pets in warm weather.
