The heat lamp with holder is an essential addition to any whelping box, designed to create a warm and comfortable environment for newborn puppies or kittens. This heat lamp, specially made for easy attachment to whelping boxes, provides the ideal solution for controlling the right temperature, which is crucial for the health and well-being of young animals. The combination of a powerful infrared light, a sturdy holder, an adjustable rod, and a practical hanging chain ensures that you can always create the ideal conditions for them.

Features:

Infrared Heat Lamp: The heat lamp with a power output of 175W and a voltage of 240V provides optimal heat essential for the puppies' well-being; this infrared technology ensures even and efficient heating, creating a comfortable environment ideal for the growth and development of small puppies.

Durable Heat Lamp Holder: The included robust and reliable heat lamp holder is designed to hold the heat lamp firmly in place, minimizing the risk of accidents and ensuring a safe heat source for puppies.

Adjustable Rod: The adjustable rod for the heat lamp holder allows precise adjustment of the lamp's position. This ensures that the heat reaches exactly where it is needed most, ensuring even temperature distribution in the whelping box.

Suspension Chain: The included suspension chain allows you to quickly and easily hang, adjust, and move the heat lamp without any complications, contributing to an efficient and practical solution for creating an ideal environment for puppies.

Economical Switch: This allows a 50% reduction in power. This is not only very energy and cost-efficient, but it also offers another significant advantage: depending on the ambient temperature, you can increase or decrease the heat output without having to change the lamp's position.

Tip: Do not hang the heater too low, as the puppies could dry out. In an air-conditioned and heated home, in the warmth of the mother, the litter of puppies likely will not need a heater. However, puppies cannot regulate their body temperature until they are about six weeks old, so it is necessary to regulate the ambient temperature to prevent hypothermia, especially in vulnerable puppies. The ideal ambient temperature for newborn puppies is 29-32°C. After about seven to ten days, this temperature can be reduced to 26.7°C and eventually to about 22.2°C after four weeks. From six weeks, puppies should be able to regulate their own body temperature. Use a heater if you cannot provide these temperatures for the puppies.

Which bulb to choose for a litter of puppies? The only correct lamp/bulb is actually not quite a lamp, but an infrared heater (ceramic lamp). The reason is very simple - you do not want the heating lamp to disrupt the day and night rhythm. Moreover, white lamps are not suitable because they are very bright and can damage the puppies' eyes when they look into the lamp. Red heating lamps disrupt the day and night rhythm less, but are not suitable if you are monitoring the puppies with a camera. So, only ceramic heating lamps/bulbs (infrared heaters) remain.

Is an infrared heater expensive? A ceramic heater/bulb does not emit light, so all the energy goes into heat, and that is exactly what we want. This makes the ceramic heater warmer than other heating lamps, and therefore you need a different socket. You need a heater with a ceramic socket. If you do not use it, there is a risk that the socket will melt! We only supply heaters with ceramic sockets!
