Pro-Kolin Advanced for Dogs
Advanced Support for Your Dog's Gastrointestinal Health

Pro-Kolin Advanced is a highly palatable paste designed to support your dog's digestive system. It combines probiotics, multiple prebiotic sources, optimal levels of dual-source binding agents, and fibers to:
- Support gastrointestinal function
- Soothe the gut lining
- Firm up stools

Key Ingredients:

- Probiotics: Contains Enterococcus faecium (DSM 10663/NCIMB 10415) 4b1707, a natural 'friendly' bacterium that helps maintain high levels of beneficial bacteria and exclude pathogenic species.
- Preplex® Prebiotics: A combination of oligofructose and acacia gum that feeds and stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria.
- Kaolin and Montmorillonite: Natural binding agents that help firm up stools.
- Pectin: Helps soothe the gut lining.
- Psyllium: Absorbs excess water in the gastrointestinal tract and regulates intestinal motility.
- Beta-glucans: Supports the immune system.
- Artificial Liver Flavoring: Enhances palatability and compliance.

Administration Instructions:
Pro-Kolin Advanced is available in 15ml, 30ml, and 60ml syringes with easy-to-read graduations, making administration straightforward. It's recommended to use 15ml and 30ml syringes for small to medium dogs, and the 60ml syringe for larger dogs.

To administer the correct amount, use the handy wheel on the syringe plunger. Rotate the wheel until it aligns with the desired quantity to be administered. Remove the cap from the end of the syringe and press the plunger to deliver the product directly into your dog's mouth; you can also mix the product with your dog's food. Ensure the nozzle is thoroughly cleaned and dried after each use and always replace the cap.

Dosage Guidelines:
Dogs (<5kg): 2ml twice daily
Dogs (5-15kg): 3ml twice daily
Dogs (15-30kg): 5ml twice daily
Dogs (>30kg): 7ml twice daily

Pro-Kolin Advanced can be administered up to three times daily, depending on the severity of the condition. It's recommended to give the paste by mouth for as long as considered necessary or as advised by your veterinary surgeon.
We would recommend giving Pro-Kolin Advanced for 2-3 days (although it may be used for longer under instruction from your veterinary surgeon). Any animal with digestive disturbances lasting longer than 2-3 days should be checked by a veterinary surgeon. If your animal shows signs of being unwell then you should contact your veterinary surgeon as soon as possible.

Storage:
Pro-Kolin Advanced has a 2-year shelf life from the date of manufacture. Once opened, replace the lid and store in a cool, dry area. When stored correctly, Pro-Kolin Advanced will last until the Best Before End date, even if it has been opened. Pro-Kolin Advanced should be stored somewhere cool and dry – a cupboard is usually ideal. If the weather is extremely hot and there are no suitable storage areas in your house that would be cool enough then you can store the Pro-Kolin Advanced in a refrigerator.

What is the difference between Pro-Kolin and Pro-Kolin Advanced?
Pro-Kolin Advanced contains the same high quality ingredients as the original Pro-Kolin, but also contains a few extra ingredients to further support the gastrointestinal tract. These extra ingredients include another clay, montmorillonite, fibre in the form of psyllium and also beta-glucans. In addition to this, Pro-Kolin Advanced is now available as separate products for dogs and cats with different flavourings to please the most discerning canines and felines.

Notes: Always consult with your veterinary surgeon before starting any new supplement to ensure it's appropriate for your dog's specific needs.

Pro-Kolin Advanced can be mixed with food or given straight from the syringe.

Pro-Kolin Advanced should never be mixed with hot food or mixed with food prior to cooking as this will kill the beneficial bacteria (probiotic). We advise letting food cool to no more than ‘lukewarm’ prior to mixing in Pro-Kolin Advanced.

Pro-Kolin Advanced can be used in animals from 8 weeks of age. Please contact the Veterinary Technical Team if you feel you may need to use this product in younger animals.

It is safe to give Pro-Kolin Advanced Dog to cats, however they will not benefit from the chicken flavour which was selected especially for cats, nor will they receive the taurine, added to cat Pro-Kolin Advanced, which is an essential amino acid for cats.

Pro-Kolin Advanced contains Soya Oil and should not be used in animals with soya allergies/sensitivities.

The flavouring in both Pro-Kolin Advanced Dog (liver flavour) and Pro-Kolin Advanced Cat (chicken flavour) is entirely artificial and contains no actual meat protein or derivatives.

Pro-Kolin Advanced does not contain whole yeast but it does contain Beta glucans; these are highly purified molecules derived from the yeast cell walls. Whilst these should not cause an allergic response we would still advise to use with caution in animals with known yeast allergies.

Pro-Kolin Advanced does not contain wheat or wheat derivatives.

You can safely use Pro-Kolin Advanced even if your pet is taking another source of probiotics/prebiotics.

We advise ideally giving Pro-Kolin Advanced and antibiotics a few hours apart.

As Pro-Kolin Advanced contains clay we would advise that you give the Pro-Kolin Advanced a few hours later than other medications (if this is difficult then a minimum of 1 hour later) to ensure the absorption of other medications is not reduced by the presence of the clay: there is only a very small risk of this occurring but it is important to ensure that your pet receives the maximum benefit of any medication they may be taking.

There are no contraindications with Pro-Kolin Advanced and other medications (apart from administration timings). This means it is safe to use Pro-Kolin Advanced even if your animal is taking other medications.

Pro-Kolin Advanced can be given to pregnant and lactating animals.
