Dromy DHA Vet oil (500 ml - 1 l - 3 l)

Oil from marine algae Schizochitrium lamaricum sp. with well-documented effects for respiratory allergies and dermatological problems of various origin.

Dromy® DHA Vet oil is an oil from marine algae Schizochitrium lamaricum sp. for horses and animals in hobby breeding.

DHA Vet oil is a complementary feed with well-documented effects in both equine and canine allergy sufferers.

DHA - docosahexaenoic acid belongs to essential fatty acids that the body does not produce on its own and whose intake is completely dependent on the diet. The main sources of omega-3 fatty acids are seeds, nuts, algae and fish.
A positive effect has been demonstrated at a dose of 1.5 - 3 g DHA daily when administered for at least two months.

In horses, a positive effect of long-term DHA administration on reducing symptoms of equine asthma has been repeatedly demonstrated - RAO - recurrent airway obstruction, IAD - inflammatory airway disease. DHA administration is a suitable supplement to dust-free management in horses with signs of allergic bronchitis, which is essential for disease control.

Preventive and long-term administration of DHA leads to better wound healing, shorter recovery from endotoxaemia - typically in colic conditions - and from possible surgical procedures, especially in the abdominal cavity.

In dogs, a positive effect has been confirmed in alleviating symptoms of atopic dermatitis, and in cats, similarly to horses, in stabilising asthma symptoms.
Given the mechanism of action, DHA administration is also recommended in horses for other hypersensitivity diseases besides asthma, such as allergy to insect bites - sweet itch - and other types of skin allergies, including atopic dermatitis.
