Description

APTUS® NUTRISAL powder
Nutrisal is a preparation intended for replacement of dehydration and maintenance of the fluid and salt balance in animals. Mixing the powder with water produces an isotonic solution. Glucose increases the absorption of sodium and water.

Instructions for use
Nutrisal powder is used for replacing dehydration and lack of electrolytes in cats and dogs, for example, in connection with intestinal disorders. When a dog or a cat suffers from diarrhoea, large amounts of fluid are lost, placing the pet at risk of dehydration. In this case, in addition to water the animal needs electrolytes, which Nutrisal contains in suitable proportions. In connection with diarrhoea, it is advised you also give the pet Aptus Attapectin tablets, which bind intestinal fermentation products.
In addition, fluid replacement in the form of the Nutrisal electrolyte drink can be given to the pet after heavy exertion or during a hot car drive.

Dosage
One sachet of Nutrisal powder is mixed with one litre of water or food. Keep the Nutrisal drink within the pet's reach so that the pet can drink it whenever willing. If the pet is in weak condition and does not drink, the pet must be made to drink during several days. The average need for fluids of an animal is 0.5–1 dl per kg per day. At least this amount of Nutrisal drink is usually given. The drink is given frequently and small amounts at a time. A cat normally drinks less than a dog.

Package
Stability: 3 years
Storage: Store at room temperature (15–25°C) in a dry place. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Package: sachets 10 x 25 g.

If the pet does not drink voluntarily, it is possible to inject the Nutrisal drink a bit at a time into the pet's mouth using a clean plastic syringe. Make sure that the pet swallows in between the small doses given. Do not lift the pet's head too high. Seek veterinary advice if the signs persist, if the condition gets worse or if the condition is severe.
