Description

APTUS® EFORION oil
Eforion oil contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in suitable proportions for animals. Essential fatty acids must be given to a pet in the food or as a complementary feed, as an animal's body cannot synthesise them sufficiently.
Fatty acids are a part of a dog's immune system. They influence the production of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins and leukotriens. Fatty acids have been reported to provide protection against endotoxins as well. In dogs and cats the most obvious sign of fatty acid deficiency is disturbed skin function. The skin dries up and flakes, hair is lifeless and it is lost in abundance.

Instructions for use
Eferion oil is used for maintaining the condition of skin, fur and nails. Fatty acid preparations are necessary in connection with a low-fat diet in particular, such as when certain types of dry food are given. Eforion oil is also used for improving hair quality, protecting the skin and reducing scaling of the skin.

Dosage
In disorders, to pregnant bitches and growing puppies 1 ml per 3 kg once daily given directly into the mouth or mixed with food.
Small dogs 2–3 ml
Medium-sized dogs 5–6 ml
Large dogs 8–12 ml
Cats 1–2 ml

For maintenance, the dosage is half the above-mentioned doses = 0.5 ml per 3 kg once daily.
The oil is dosed in drops: 10 drops equals 0.5 ml.
